Addelyn is "discovering" the outside world these days. She is exploring and seeing things outside that I walk past every day without a second glance. Something I love about having a toddler- looking at the world through her eyes. And her mouth too. She walked outside today, put her finger in a pile of bird poop and stuck the finger in her mouth to lick it (like you would with batter from a cake or something). GROSS. Mark and I both saw it happen but couldn't react quick enough.
After a rain this past week, there was a worm on our sidewalk. Addelyn saw it and was immediately interested.
She got down as close to the worm as she could so she could really check this thing out!
She ended up playing with the worm for a bit, then pulled him in half. I decided to leave that picture to your imagination.
We have been outside writing on the sidewalks with chalk. Addelyn discovered ants today and they are much more interesting than chalk. In the above picture, she was trying to smash the ant with the chalk.
She likes to chew on the chalk. We are working on that one.

She is such a sweetie! Boaz licked a finger of what I thought was dog poop last night... but then discovered that it was only yard plugs. Whew!! Isn't it funny to teach a kid how to smell? That was one of the most fun moments. We should take these kiddos on a walk sometime soon. Boaz can teach Addelyn about rocks and she can teach him about worms.
What fun pictures! We've stomped on a few worms and flowers since spending more time ourside. I gave the boys a popsicle for the first time last week and Jack immediately figured out how to hold onto the stick and lick the pop. Reed, however insisted on holding it every which way until it finally melted off the stick.
LOVE the worm picture :) she is such a sweet girl!
