wal-mart, my wallet, and smurf chapstick

A few things. I am not a fan of shopping at Wal-Mart. Okay, pretty much I don't love to shop anywhere, especially with a baby and a kid who has started to notice displays and ask for things. Or who opens a $2.87 nasty Smurf chapstick and smears it all over her lips in front of the cashier in the checkout line while I'm paying (and not looking). Wal-Mart is one of my least favorite places. I can't even put my finger on the reason I dislike it so much. But I do.

Today I decided to buck up and get a few things I needed. It started raining as soon as we loaded up (of course). I got the kids inside the door of Wal-Mart, pulled out my list, and then went to look for my wallet. Hmm. I wondered outloud, "Where is my wallet?" as I dug in the diaper bag.

A little four year old peeped up, "Oh Mommy, I hid it in the living room before we left."

Yep, another reason I dislike Wal-Mart. Add it to the list.

(I must say my husband redeemed this Wal-Mart trip. It was his lunch hour so he picked up my wallet and met us. We even made a date of it and got Subway sandwiches together. So at the risk of this post seeming extremely negative, our Wal-Mart trip ended extremely well overall. Addelyn is very lucky, haha!)

I am sure it wasn't funny at the time but this did make me laugh! Her stories make me smile :)

like or dislike... the one stop shopping is sometimes too convenient to go elsewhere!
